About RSS What is RSS?RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndacation' but the aim is to bring the news directly to you rather than you having to go out on the web trying to find it. Many websites such as the BBC offer RSS feeds of their latest stories and similarly HPSSjobs.com offers RSS feeds of the latest jobs. How do I use RSS? Often RSS feeds are used on one website to display news from another website but you can also display news feeds in a Newsreader or the Firefox web browser. Newsreaders If you want to use news feeds from many different sources you may want to consider using a web-based Newsreader such as: Newsgator Alternatively you can use the Firefox web browser to show 'Live Bookmarks'. In Firefox choose Bookmarks - Manage Bookmarks... then choose File - New Live Bookmark ... then enter a name for your Feed e.g. HPSSjobs and the URL of the news feed e.g. http://www.hpssjobs.com/rss.asp . You can get the address of the newsfeed by clicking on any of the orange RSS buttons and then copy and paste the URL/address from the Firefox address bar. HPSSjobs Feeds Feeds by Job Category:
